Behind the 20-plus-point scoring of Maddox Warrick and Jase Atwood, Lebanon鈥檚 freshman boys beat visiting Hendersonville 56-36 Monday night at Campbell Brandon Gym/Hester Gibbs Court.
The Blue Devils flipped the game with an 18-11 second quarter to turn a 13-9 deficit into a 27-24 halftime lead. Lebanon led 40-34 going into the fourth as LHS improved to 3-4 for the season and 3-2 in district play.
鈥淭his was the first game we have gone up against a zone and we played well against it,鈥 Lebanon coach Paul Tribble said. 鈥淢oved the ball well and shot well, also.
鈥淒efensively, we picked it up in the fourth quarter by holding them to only two points.鈥
Warrick connected on all eight of his free throws to lead Lebanon with 22 points while Atwood sank six 3-pointers on his way to 20. Caleb Jones scored six points, Collin Plumlee five, Markhail Anglin two and Titus O鈥橬eil a free throw.
Lebanon will travel to Gallatin鈥檚 Jerry Vradenburg Gym/Bobby Luna Court on Thursday for a 6 p.m. game against the Green Wave.
