According to Doxo, an online bill paying company, on average, Wilson County residents are paying one% more on household bills compared to the national average.
The report states the average household in the county pays $2,156 per month in bills totaling $25,868 for the year. This makes Wilson County the sixth most expensive in the state.
Mt. Juliet bills average 12% higher than the U.S. average when looking at the individual cities in the county. Residents pay $2,388 per month making the yearly cost $3,141 higher than the national average.
In Lebanon, household bills come out at four% higher than the U.S. average. Thirty-six% of Lebanon residents’ income goes to bills.
This is in contrast to Tennessee as a whole, which comes out nine% lower than the national average on household bill costs.
