When COVID-19 became a household word, many people were confused and worried about what life was going to be for them. For one couple though, it produced an opportunity to change not only their lives but also the lives of those in their community.

Carrie Jo Smith and Kent Jenkins decided to take a negative and turn it into one of the most successful ventures of its kind. Their property lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee state line just north of Macon County. The property gets its name from the slab bridge that crosses Salt Lick Creek. On their 500 acres, they provide primitive camping, a few cabins, and allow RV camping as well.
