The Sumner County Sheriff鈥檚 Office issued a release over the weekend in regards to clearing up for rumors that have been circulating concerning the missing juvenile Sabastian Rogers of Hendersonville.
鈥淲e want to address the recent speculation surrounding the individual seen wearing a green hoodie near Texas Roadhouse in relation to the disappearance of Sebastian Rogers from Hendersonville, Tenn. We understand the community鈥檚 concern and the desire for answers in this case.鈥
Detectives interviewed the person in question on Dec. 13 regarding their presence on the night of Feb. 25, 2024. The sheriff鈥檚 office confirms that after a thorough discussion with this individual, there is no evidence linking them to Sebastian鈥檚 disappearance.
鈥淲e appreciate the vigilance and cooperation from the public and all those involved in the search for Sebastian. We encourage everyone to continue providing any pertinent information that could assist in this ongoing investigation. However, we also urge the community to approach social media rumors with caution, as misinformation can distract from the real efforts to find Sebastian.鈥
The search for Sebastian Rogers remains the sheriff鈥檚 office top priority, said in the release. 鈥淲e will continue to pursue all leads with the utmost diligence. We ask for continued support and patience from the community as we work together to bring Sebastian home.
Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers was last seen on Feb. 26, 2024, in the area of Stafford Court in Hendersonville, Tenn. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black, square-framed glasses. Sebastian has medical conditions, including autism, that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the whereabouts of Rogers.
