Betty Mae Williams, born in Crossville, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025.
She was raised and spent the majority of her life in Lebanon, Tennessee. She had a passion for Jesus, her Lord and Savior, children and music. For many years, she was a member of the Netherton family singing group. You could find them singing their praises at the Church of God of Prophesy on Spring Street.
When she married, she spent her married life in Augusta, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reford and Martha Netherton; husband, Troy Williams; sister, Charlotte Hendrixson; and brother, Bobby Netherton.
She leaves behind her siblings, Ima Jean (Red) Lee, Geraldine Davis and Ricky (Billie) Netherton; many nieces and nephews, including Richard (Melinda) Davis, who were her caretakers in her last years of life; along with an aunt, Lera Dover, of Ohio.
Funeral services were held in the Partlow Funeral chapel Thursday, January 9, 2024. Bro. Gordon Lee officiated, and interment followed in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Billy Davis, Allen Davis, Richard Davis, Nicholas Davis, Jason Davis, and James Lee.
Honorary pallbearers were Randy Hendrixson and Ricky Netherton.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to The Parkinson鈥檚 Foundation or The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
