Gary Mack Foster, 71, of Lebanon, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024.
Gary was born in Litchfield, Kentucky, to Elouise Henson Foster and Hugh Foster.
His family moved to Lebanon, when Gary Mack was a little boy. He met and married the love of his life, Cindy Taylor, and they embarked on a wonderful life together. Gary Mack and Cindy were members of First Baptist in Lebanon.
He was a member of the Lebanon Police Department for many years as an investigator and ultimately Assistant Police Chief. He left the Lebanon Police Department to work for the Public Defender’s office until his retirement as Chief Criminal Investigator. Gary Mack loved being with his family and friends, supporting the Dodgers, and golfing.
Gary Mack is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cindy Foster; sister: Donna (Bobby) Jones; brother-in-law: Tony (Laura) Taylor; nieces and nephews: Jenny (Matt) Savage, Jon Jones, Jacob (Kaylee) Brown, Janet Curlin, and Jill Relford; great-nieces and great-nephews: Maddie Savage, Penny Savage, Michael Savage, William Savage, Taylor Curlin, Adegrace Taylor, Jace James, Jack Taylor, and Cole Relford; great-great nephews: Samuel and Luca Murillo; and caregivers: Gladys Crawford and Keisha Fitz. He is preceded in death by his parents Elouise and Hugh Foster, brother Hugh Edward Foster, sister-in-law Susan Taylor, and in-laws Ruth and Kenneth Taylor.
Funeral services, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Eatherly, Jon Jones, Gary Thorne, Alex Buhler, Bubba Bland and Terry Ashe.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 4-8 p.m. and again Wednesday from noon until the time of services.
The family extends a special thank you to Adoration Hospice.
