It was balmy 26 degrees when runners began warming up for the Linda Carman Memorial 5K on Saturday, Dec. 7.
鈥淭oday is a runner鈥檚 paradise, sunshine and no wind,鈥 said Marc Hays, race coordinator. The event benefited the Community Pregnancy Center located at 755 E. McMurry Blvd. in Hartsville.
鈥淲e had a goal to have 50 participants registered for the race,鈥 said Hays. 鈥淔ifty-four people registered and 48 turned out for today鈥檚 event.鈥
Seven volunteers were on board to assist with registration and on the race route.
